Portland International has a shopping mall behind its ticketing counters, with all shops and restaurants open every day. Because the state is one of the few in the nation with no sales tax, all stores offer tax-free shopping. The Port of Portland also requires all airport shops and restaurants to practice "Fair Retail Pricing" (which means businesses are not allowed to charge more than at their off-airport locations).
